Rocks at my car 5x6

Many years ago when I met my sons father in NJ. I was driving up to a stop light in between 2 neighborhoods, about 15 mph and I thought it was a bomb thrown shortly after the Boston bombing. It hit the car 3 x. I screamed and I stopped the car. I got out 5x6 rocks hit the car short of hitting my drivers window. I looked up in the woods were children. I called my friend he came right away I pointed to where they were - we drove up to the home that they were behind. Sure enough the kids were there. A women came out screaming in denial. I stated - I am not here to fight - you need to know they could of killed me. She stated her husband a cop. I said - dont worry about it, just know they could of killed me or someone else. I didnt call the insurance - I didnt want any trouble. I wish I had. I drove around with my car like that till I drove it into the ground.
